PMA is your local based nonprofit trade association

For the printing and graphic communications industry and its allied industries.

PMA local membership also includes national membership in our headquarters – Printing Industries of America (PIA), the world’s largest graphic communications trade association.

Ask any PMA member and they will tell you that membership is a valuable investment, not an expense!

It’s an asset that helps you increase productivity and save dollar after dollar on insurance, software, waste recycling, productivity tools and much more. And that’s not to mention the important local office for advice and support; webinars, seminars and training; representation on legislative issues, and access to the latest research, to name a few.

Need help on H.R. issues?

Looking for assistance on OSHA or EPA/state air quality compliance?  Looking for a better solution and service model for your health, dental, vision, life and business insurance coverage? Wish you could get a discount on office supplies, software and equipment usually only available to large corporations?

Your PMA membership aligns you with our Preferred Partner Programs and puts the tools for every part of your business right at your fingertips.

How It All Began

In 1906, a small group of St. Louis printers banded together to combat the difficult problem of growing costs. Little did they realize that their turn-of-the-century efforts at increasing profitability would result in a vibrant organization providing an array of exceptional cost-saving, educational and support programs.

What We Have Evolved Into

As needs have changed over the years, so have PMA’s programs. An apprenticeship program was established in 1913, followed by group insurance in the early 1960s. As time has progressed, we have added a Waste Paper/Recycling Program, the Printers’ 401K Program, a discounted logistics program, group purchasing power program and much more. However, one thing has never changed . . . our unwavering dedication to ethical business practices and excellence in printing, graphic communications and related services, all designed to advance members’ opportunities for growth and profitability.
