PMA Membership Levels

Active Members

Those engaged in any facet of graphic imaging, including but not limited to pre-press, press and post-press functions, shall be eligible for Active membership in PMA. Example: printers, color separators, graphic designers, advertising agencies, binders, envelope and stationery manufacturers, printing brokers, and producers of various specialized printed products.

Associate Members

Those who perform a support function directly related to the printing industries and allied trades, by offering goods and services to Active Members, shall be eligible for an Associate Membership in PMA. Example: equipment, ink, paper, and other material manufacturers and distributors, providers of financial, accounting, computer, insurance, and other services.

Educational Members

Those educational institutions, such as colleges, universities, vocational training schools and other non-profit educational organizations, serving the printing industry.

Limited Members

Those eligible, but electing not to become Active Members, who desire to participate in the industrial relations programs of the Association, shall be classified as Limited Members. As such, they shall not be entitled to notice of meetings of the membership or to attend, participate in or vote at meetings of the membership. Example: Organizations for whom PMA, and/or any Subsidiary, administers various “Taft-Hartley Act”-type benefit programs.

In-Plant Members

Companies or government agencies with in-house operations that print exclusively for the company or agency of record.
